A significant majority of at least 67.2% of Muslim women express their support for the implementation of a uniform law applicable to all Indian citizens in personal matters like marriage, divorce, adoption, and inheritance. The survey, which did not specifically mention the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), focused on the key areas that the UCC is expected to cover.

The survey included a diverse group of 8,035 Muslim women, encompassing various regions, communities, educational backgrounds, and marital statuses. Participants ranged from 18 to 65+ years old and represented a wide educational spectrum, ranging from illiterate individuals to post-graduates. The survey spanned across multiple states, including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

Among the surveyed women, 18.8% fell in the 18-24 age group, 32.9% were aged 25-34, 26.6% were aged 35-44, 14.4% were aged 45-54, 5.4% were aged 55-64, and 1.9% were 65 years or older. In terms of marital status, 70.3% were married, 24.1% were unmarried, 2.9% were widowed, and 2.9% were divorced. The respondents' religious affiliation consisted of 73.1% Sunni, 13.3% Shia, and 13.6% from other sects.

Regarding education, 10.8% of the women surveyed held post-graduate degrees, 27% were graduates, 20.8% had completed education up to Class 12 or higher, 13.8% had studied up to Class 10, 12.9% had studied till Class 5-10, 4.4% had completed education up to Class 5, 4.2% were illiterate, and 4.2% possessed basic literacy skills, with 1.9% falling into other categories.
